There are times where an instructor may have a Turnitin assignment in a Moodle course. Turnitin reduces the chances of students plagiarizing essays and such.
When submitting an assignment via Turnitin, the written work must have valid text (i.e. text cannot be random text such as “dfkjkdi” or the like) and must be have at least 20 words. It is recommended that the document be typed in word and saved as a Word 97-2003 document (.doc) rather than Word Document (.docx).
